How the quiz works

The quiz gives you ten social scenarios. Every answer is worth between -200 and +1,000 aura points, so the ceiling is 10,000 and the floor is -2,000. Your answers are added up and the total drops you into one of six named bands, listed in full below.

This quiz scores aura points โ€” the TikTok scoring meme about how unbothered and composed you look to other people. It does not tell you your aura colour, and there are no chakras, energy fields or aura photography involved. Aura is about perception; vibes are about your mood; rizz is about persuasion. Only the first one is being counted here.

Four dimensions decide your total, and each question loads onto one of them:

  • Composure under embarrassment (the hallway trip, the dance circle). Points come from recovery speed, not from avoiding the fall โ€” falling and continuing outscores never falling.
  • Attention tolerance (the unflattering photo, the loud compliment). Accepting attention scores highest. Deflecting it costs points; chasing it costs more.
  • Need to be proven right (the group chat, being called on, losing an argument you were right about). Restraint outscores receipts here by a wide margin.
  • Territorial reaction (your ex at the party, someone copying your style). Genuine indifference scores; performed indifference โ€” three stories from the same party โ€” is the single most expensive answer on the quiz.

The scoring is deliberately lopsided in one direction: explaining yourself is what costs. Almost every -200 answer is a version of over-explaining, whether that’s the all-caps paragraph, the fourth denial of a compliment, or the post about being copied. You do not lose aura for being awkward. You lose it for narrating the awkwardness.

What each score means

Band Score What it reads as Blind spot
Aura Debt ๐Ÿ“‰ -2,000 to 1,199 Every reaction is visible and immediate You give away the ending before the story starts
Baseline Aura ๐Ÿ˜ 1,200 to 3,199 Steady, low-drama, easy to be around Nobody quotes you afterwards
Solid Aura ๐ŸŒค๏ธ 3,200 to 5,199 Composed until something lands on a nerve One specific topic undoes twenty calm minutes
High Aura โœจ 5,200 to 7,199 Unbothered by default, warm on purpose Reads as aloof to people who don’t know you
Main Character Aura ๐ŸŽฌ 7,200 to 8,999 The room reorganises slightly around you Comfort with attention can crowd quieter people out
Aura 10,000 ๐ŸŒŒ 9,000 to 10,000 Mythical. Nothing registers as a threat People stop telling you things because you never react

The top band is intentionally hard: reaching 9,000 needs nine of the ten highest answers, which means nine consecutive moments of choosing not to respond. If you scored just under a band line, the deciding question was almost certainly the one where you defended yourself.

How to actually gain aura points

Aura points are recoverable, and the moves are small and concrete rather than mystical:

  • Cut the second sentence. The first response is usually fine. The clarification is what costs -200.
  • Accept the compliment on the first try. “Thank you” with eye contact beats four rounds of denial, which quietly forces the other person to keep convincing you.
  • Do one clean thing and step back out. This applies to dance circles, karaoke and meetings. One committed contribution scores far higher than a long uncertain one.
  • Never announce a boundary you could just keep. Leaving the conversation scores. Posting about leaving the conversation does not.
  • Let being right expire. If you find the evidence at 11pm, the aura-positive move is not sending it. The point stands better unsent.
  • Make the bad photo your profile picture. The fastest single point swing available to anyone, because it removes the thing people expected you to be embarrassed about.

Is it accurate?

It accurately scores a joke. Aura points are an internet scoring system invented for entertainment, and this quiz is a fun sorting tool, not a personality assessment, a charisma measurement or anything a psychologist would recognise. Nobody’s actual worth is measured in signed point notation.

Two real limits worth naming. First, it scores your reported reactions, and almost everyone remembers themselves as calmer than they were โ€” so treat your number as a ceiling rather than a reading. Second, it rewards one specific style: quiet, unhurried, non-explaining. That style genuinely reads as high aura in Western Gen Z social settings, and it also describes plenty of people who are simply reserved, and misses plenty of people who are loud, generous and beloved. A warm 2,000 is a better time at a party than a frosty 9,000. Retake it after a genuinely eventful week and the number will move, which tells you it’s measuring a mood as much as a person.

How seriously should you take this?

Frequently asked questions

What are aura points, exactly?

Aura points are a joke scoring system that spread on TikTok, where people award or deduct imaginary points for how composed someone looks in a social moment. Landing a smooth recovery earns points; visibly panicking loses them. There's no official scale and no real measurement โ€” the humour comes from treating tiny everyday moments like they have a scoreboard.

What does Aura 10,000 mean?

Aura 10,000 is the meme's mythical ceiling โ€” the perfect score, used for someone who appears completely unbothered no matter what happens. On this quiz it means you picked the highest-value answer on nine or ten of ten questions. It's deliberately rare, and it comes with a real trade-off: people sometimes stop sharing news with someone who never visibly reacts.

Is aura the same thing as vibes or rizz?

No, and the difference matters for this quiz. Aura is how you're perceived, especially your composure under pressure. Vibes describe the mood you're currently giving off, which changes hour to hour. Rizz is specifically about charm and flirting โ€” persuading someone. You can have enormous aura and no rizz at all, and the two are scored completely separately.

How do you calculate your aura points?

There's no standard formula, which is why every calculator online gives a different number. This quiz uses ten scenarios with published values from -200 to +1,000, summed into a total between -2,000 and 10,000. Avoid calculators that score you on income, height or weight โ€” those aren't measuring aura, and they aren't measuring anything worth knowing.

What does negative aura or aura debt mean?

Aura debt is the lowest band on this quiz, used when reactions are loud, immediate and visible to everyone. It usually comes from over-explaining rather than from anything embarrassing happening โ€” the all-caps reply, the fourth denial of a compliment, the post about being copied. It's also the fastest band to climb out of, because the fix is mostly saying less.

How do I gain more aura points?

Delete the clarifying second message. Accept a compliment on the first try instead of the fourth. Contribute one committed thing and step back rather than hovering. Stop announcing decisions you could simply make. And let a won argument stay unsent โ€” the points come from restraint far more than from doing anything impressive.
