๐๏ธ Who Is My Guardian Angel? Quiz
The "Who is my guardian angel?" quiz matches your answers to one of seven named archangels โ Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Chamuel, Jophiel or Zadkiel โ using twelve questions about how you handle fear, conflict, rest and hope. Every result is listed below before you begin.
How the quiz works
Twelve questions score you across seven archangel profiles. Each answer adds points to one profile, and the highest total wins. Nothing is random and nothing is hidden โ the full result set is published below, before you start.
The questions probe four dimensions rather than asking you to guess your own spirituality. The first is your default response to threat: whether you confront it, name it out loud, tend the wounded, or sit with it until you understand it. The second is how you help other people โ with a plan, with words, with presence, or with beauty. The third is what you reach for at your lowest: silence, scripture, another person, water, art, or a clean slate. The fourth is the kind of sign you’d actually notice โ a repeated number, a sudden certainty, a stranger’s sentence, a dream you can’t shake. If you answer as the person you are on an ordinary Tuesday rather than the person you are at your best, the result lands closer.
What each result means
| Result | Core trait | Traditional source | Blind spot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Michael ๐ก๏ธ | Protection, courage under pressure | Named in Daniel, Jude and Revelation | Turns every problem into a battle worth fighting |
| Gabriel ๐ฏ | Messages, clarity, announcement | Named in Daniel and Luke | Says the true thing before the room is ready |
| Raphael ๐ฟ | Healing, safe journeys | Named in the Book of Tobit | Tends everyone else and skips their own repair |
| Uriel ๐ฆ | Insight, hard questions, light in the dark | Appears in 2 Esdras and 1 Enoch, not the canon | Analyses a feeling instead of feeling it |
| Chamuel ๐ | Love, reconciliation, finding what’s lost | Later Western angelology, not scriptural | Keeps the peace at their own expense |
| Jophiel ๐ธ | Beauty, joy, creative perspective | Later Western angelology, not scriptural | Reframes a real problem into a pretty one |
| Zadkiel ๐ | Mercy, forgiveness, starting again | Later Western angelology, not scriptural | Forgives too early, before anything has changed |
The source column is doing real work here, and it’s the part most quizzes leave out. Michael, Gabriel and Raphael are the only three angels given personal names in the biblical and deuterocanonical texts. Uriel sits just outside the canon โ present in 2 Esdras and the Book of Enoch, honoured in Orthodox tradition, absent from most Protestant Bibles. Chamuel, Jophiel and Zadkiel come from later Western esoteric lists. All seven are meaningful; they are not all equally old, and you deserve to know which is which.
The signs list, and how to read it honestly
Every page on this topic recites the same catalogue: repeated numbers, sudden warmth, an unexplained pleasant scent, a feather, a dream that stays vivid for days, a stranger who says exactly the right sentence. The catalogue isn’t the problem. The problem is that it’s usually presented with no method for reading it.
One useful discipline: note the sign before you know what it means, not after. Write down the number, the dream, the phrase, and the date โ then wait a week before deciding what it referred to. Signs recorded in advance and interpreted later are far harder to bend toward whatever you already hoped for. Signs recalled after the fact almost always confirm the thing you were leaning toward anyway.
A second discipline: notice whether the message asks something of you. Traditional accounts of angelic encounters โ Gabriel to Zechariah, Raphael on the road with Tobias โ are almost never flattering or vague. They arrive with an instruction, usually an inconvenient one. A “sign” that only tells you you’re special and costs you nothing is worth holding loosely.
Is it accurate?
This quiz reads your temperament, not the heavens. It’s genuinely accurate about one thing: which of these seven patterns of guidance โ protection, message, healing, insight, love, joy, mercy โ you gravitate toward and probably already lean on. It cannot tell you the name of a being assigned to you, and no quiz on the internet can, whatever the title promises.
Two honest limits. First, your result moves with your season. Take it during a crisis and Michael or Zadkiel will likely surface; take it during a calm, curious stretch and Uriel or Jophiel often wins instead. Neither reading is wrong โ that shift is information about where you are right now. Second, a two-point gap between the top two results is effectively a tie, and a tie usually means both apply: one is how you cope, the other is what you’re missing.

Frequently asked questions
Is it okay to ask for the name of your guardian angel?
Traditions differ sharply. Catholic teaching generally discourages assigning private names to angels, permitting only the three named in scripture โ Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. Many folk and esoteric practices encourage asking in prayer or meditation. If you do ask, hold whatever name arrives lightly rather than treating it as settled fact.
Can someone have more than one guardian angel?
Mainstream Christian teaching describes one guardian angel per person, assigned for life. Other traditions describe several, or angels who come and go with particular tasks and seasons. This quiz sidesteps the debate by naming the pattern of guidance that fits you, which can shift over time regardless of which view you hold.
Who is my guardian angel by birth date?
Birth-date angel calculators usually draw on the 72 protective angels of Kabbalistic tradition, where each angel governs a five-degree span of the zodiac and so a short window of dates. That's a different system from this quiz entirely โ it assigns by calendar, not by character, so the two often give different answers.
What if I'm not religious at all?
You're welcome to take it, and plenty do. Read your result as a description of the kind of support you instinctively seek and offer โ courage, clarity, healing, understanding, connection, delight or a fresh start. The archangel names then work as vivid shorthand for those seven patterns rather than as claims about anything supernatural.
Which archangels are actually named in the Bible?
Three. Michael appears in Daniel, Jude and Revelation; Gabriel in Daniel and Luke; Raphael in the Book of Tobit, which is deuterocanonical and included in Catholic and Orthodox Bibles. Uriel appears in 2 Esdras and 1 Enoch. Chamuel, Jophiel and Zadkiel come from later, non-scriptural angelology.
How many questions is the quiz, and do I need to sign up?
Twelve questions, roughly two to three minutes. No sign-up, no email, no account. All seven possible results are published on this page before you start, with their traits, traditional sources and trade-offs, so you can see exactly what you're being sorted into rather than discovering it only at the end.
